I love the sound design on this and how genuinely angry the floating dudes sound. It plays really well too and its super smooth and has a good feel. If you like flow state games, this is a good one!
thank you so much for the kind word, llydia!
Awesome reload design! I honestly wish the cyberspace sections in System Shock 1 were like this ;)
wow thanks! might not surprise you to hear that is one of my favorite games so that is high praise.
If you like SS1 so much (no surprise!), you should play some immersive sims on my recommendation list, such as the "Kepler experiment" (more like SS2) and the "Abyss of the Void" (more like SS1, minus the cyberspace section).
AN SS1-like game with the thetakill as a "mini-game" would be fantastic!
Hope you CAN make an extended version of thetakill one day, but I'll replay this again.
Downloading your recommendations, they look very interesting and up my alley. Thanks! I'm also looking to get into Peripeteia but its pretty laggy on intel gpus which is all I got (unity?).
I am designing a much larger game with some buddies of mine at Moonbrain which is indeed a hard sci-fi immersive sim (though its not so much like SS1 but its own twisted new thing) . But the scope is too intimidating for us to attempt at this time. I consider Thetakill and a few of my other games prototypes for subsets of it. So you might get your wish, and we share the same dreams!
